One of the best parts about building custom homes is being introduced to numerous types of manufacturing companies, some of which are extraordinary in nature. One of my favorites is Rocky Mountain Hardware.

An excerpt from their website does a great job explaining what they are all about:

“At Rocky Mountain Hardware, we are masters in the art and the craft of turning
molten bronze into elegant, custom, precision hardware that transcends the ordinary.

Our business is built on a foundation of innovation and ingenuity, authentic
craftsmanship and an unyielding desire to cater to the aspirations
of our customers. Our mantra is “never say no.”

We bring our customers’ creative concepts to life with bespoke designs cast in
premium quality bronze. What we do cannot be replicated en masse.
Our products are handmade from mold to finish. And it shows.

For nearly three decades, every piece of Rocky Mountain Hardware
has served as a symbol of our commitment to quality, artistry and craftsmanship.
Our hardware is made in the USA, and we stand behind each and every piece we make.”

Hailing from Idaho this family company was started by Mark and Patsy Nickum in 1994. Recognizing a need for custom quality products they developed Rocky Mountain Hardware into the well-known hardware company that it is today. Their son Chris currently runs the business carrying on his parent’s legacy.

When sourcing Rocky Mountain for our custom homes I turn to my rep Megan Jerkins with Prosource Supply. Her consistent work ethic and stellar follow up skills have proved an asset to the home building process. Learn more about her and why she loves Rocky Mountain below!

Q: Which product or manufacturer would you like to see us feature on the blog?

A: Rocky Mountain Hardware

Q: What sets their product apart from the other brands?

A.    It is hand made in Idaho and is a family-owned business. Rocky Mountain is the most customizable door hardware we carry. You can mix finishes, rosettes, and levers. You can also have items custom made!

Q: How did you become involved with Prosource?

A: I have been in the building industry since 2005. I started on the countertop side and continued that path for 15 years. When ready for a change I had a friend reach out to one of the salespeople at Prosource on my behalf. They interviewed me and I have been part of this amazing and rapidly growing team ever since!

Q: What do you feel is the most rewarding part of working in your field?

A: I love making selections easy for the client. During the building process homeowners often grow tired of making all the necessary selections and look to me to help them manage through that final phase. The most rewarding part of my job is when someone tells me “It’s perfect and you made this painless”, and then of course them loving the outcome!

Q: Who do you look up to when it comes to the products you sell? Has there been a mentor encouraging your professional growth?

A: There is a locksmith who has been extremely patient every time we work together on jobs. He has taken the time to show me how parts interact with each other and has greatly expanded my knowledge database. The people that have been most encouraging to me have been my managers and I am very thankful for all of them.

It is imperative to work with manufacturers and suppliers who consistently deliver great products and service when planning for your dream home. Tyner Construction has been building for over 40 years and carries decades of lessons learned and experience gained with every project. Trust your vision to a team who can help you through the process from start to finish!
