Today, Tyner Construction is one of the most sought after and respected Custom Home Builders in the Carolinas. In 1978, brothers, Benson and Harrison Tyner owned and operated a deli and ice cream parlor in Burnsville, NC.
The brothers’ focus shifted from the restaurant business to real estate and remodeling… The afore mentioned pickles, specifically the pickle jars, did come in handy along with military shovels to dig out the crawl space area of their first remodeling job in 1979.
Tyner Real Estate did well but it became obvious that most often the market did not have exactly what the real estate client wanted. With this realization, Tyner Construction began building customized structures for their clients.
The Tyner brothers quickly became known for their work ethic, eye for detail, and uncompromising honesty. These traits generated work in the form of doctor and dental offices throughout Asheville, which in turn lead to the pivotal point in the history of Tyner Construction. Over thirty years, the Tyner brothers have been joined by Martha Tyner, Marc Tyner, and a core group of mangers and craftsman that have been with the company for over 20 years. Currently, Tyner serves custom home clients in the Carolinas most beautiful Resort Communities and private land tracks.
