Welcome! I would like to introduce you to this lovely kitchen we completed in 2019. It was my first official start-to-finish home with Tyner Construction, and I could not have hand-picked better homeowners to jump in with, head first. Their design vision was clearly communicated and I had fun choosing finishes based on our discussions and learning how they lived their everyday lives. This kitchen was designed for function first – followed by some beautiful form. A few noteworthy elements include a swinging door into the pantry, a stacking bi-fold exterior door onto the beautiful screen porch, and a counter-height dishwasher that requires very little bending down. A methodical and well-thought-out space will always reflect good design.
This preliminary mood board set the stage for the completed look:

The Snowbound perimeter cabinets and walls (SW 7004) were the perfect backdrop to allow the Granite Peak (SW 6250) island cabinets to be the star of the show. This color was hand picked by the homeowner, and I adore her choice!
Using this palette, I searched for a stunning countertop that required no maintenance, as per her request. The result was this beautiful Quartz Calcutta Verona featuring large, soft veining. The chrome plumbing fixtures sparkle against its soft tones, making this kitchen feel clean and inviting.

Next, the tile! The moment I saw this 2 x 8 Stellar tile by Sonoma Tilemakers in Wedgewood Glossy Crackle I fell in love. Not only does it perfectly compliment the island, it’s variegated coloring also draws your eye in, and ultimately grounds the white cabinets surrounding it. This is still one of my favorite backsplash installs to date.

Finally, a wine bar at the far end of the second (or perimeter) island adds
some flair and makes you want to celebrate and stay a while.

Interior design is so much more than furnishings – it is the manifestation of countless hours of planning, organizing, and execution of the perfect atmosphere for you and your family. Team work really does make the dream work.
